Misbaudeen Yusuff Adeshina Appointed as ECOWAS Youth Ambassador and Honored with the Nelson Mandela Leadership Award

I am honored to share a significant milestone in my journey as a digital entrepreneur, marketer, mentor, and advocate for youth empowerment. I have been officially appointed as an ECOWAS Youth Ambassador by the ECOWAS Youth Council (EYC) in recognition of my contributions to digital marketing transformation, remote work advocacy, and economic empowerment across West Africa. Alongside this prestigious appointment, I was also presented with the Nelson Mandela Leadership Award of Excellence and Integrity, a symbol of dedication, service, and impact.

This recognition is not just a personal achievement, it is a call to continue pushing boundaries and creating opportunities for young Africans in the digital economy. The ECOWAS Youth Ambassadorial role is a platform to inspire, mentor, and advocate for policies that drive sustainable growth, entrepreneurship, and global competitiveness for our youth.

For almost a decade, my mission has been clear: to empower individuals with the tools, skills, and mindset needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital world. Through the Yusuff Adeshina Foundation (YAF) and various mentorship initiatives, I have worked tirelessly to create pathways for young professionals to access global opportunities, build successful remote careers, and scale their businesses.

Receiving the Nelson Mandela Leadership Award of Excellence and Integrity is a humbling reminder of the responsibility that comes with leadership. Nelson Mandela’s legacy of resilience, vision, and service has always been an inspiration to me. His unwavering commitment to justice and empowerment continues to serve as part of the guiding principle in my work.

This appointment as an ECOWAS Youth Ambassador is a renewed commitment to championing policies that bridge the digital divide, fostering an ecosystem where young Africans can innovate, create, and lead. With digital transformation accelerating across the globe, now is the time to equip our youth with digital skills, entrepreneurial knowledge, and the right networks to compete on the global stage.

As I take on this new role, I remain committed to using my platforms to amplify the voices of young entrepreneurs, advocate for remote work opportunities, and support policies that drive digital inclusion and economic sustainability.

To every young African striving for excellence: your dreams are valid, your vision is possible, and your impact is needed. The future belongs to those who dare to innovate and lead.

Thank you for being part of this journey. The work continues!

Ambassador Misbaudeen Yusuff Adeshina
